Tranny code

So I'm ready to purchase trani for AV6 swap. My question is the MKEA the correct Japanese equivalent to the MAYA?
I appreciate any help!

I apologize if this is a noob question and not really helping answer your question. What is the benefit of AV6 swap on TL?

Don't rebuild yours again, just swap an 2006-07 non-hybrid automatic Accord V6 transmission instead and be done.

Right but what is the benefit vs buying a Acura TL tranny? Is it cheaper? Easier to find?

In my case, it's not about being done, more so for automatic transmission education. I'm just trying to learn the benefits.

In short, the 06-07 AV6 BAYA transmission is an updated version that is better than the OEM factory automatics originally provided in the 2G CL / TL's of model years 2001-2003.
You can find much of what you seek, in answers, via the rather extensive discussion thread from back in the day below:

If that 'Periodic thumping noise in reverse...' can be isolated outside your transmission case, perhaps.

Fishing for info

I have read thru all the dated material on AV6 swap. I don't plan to rebuild trani. I appreciate the info on the codes!
A couple of sellers are distinguishing the Japanese versions from export versions. One said the MKEA is for Accord and MRDA is for Acura. I've found nice looking MKEA 54K that I'd like to buy . I'm wondering if the Japanese version will require different set of modifications. Maby I should stick to acquiring a MAYA and known modifications.
I really like the car for a keeper!
Thanks

If you opt for a low mileage Japanese import please let us know WHAT EXACTLY you had to do, as far as 'swap' modifications / components, to make it WORK on your 2G TL.

Sorry for the noob question again. But what is VIN M and VIN N on the 2006 honda accord AT? Also, how durable are they? Meaning is it worth it to get something that has over 150k miles?

My question though, is just how much power they can withstand, aka boost. Not like boosting an auto is simple due to the tuning issue.
Here's another, of many threads, regarding the AV6 transmission.
Av6 swap working great - AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community

When my project 55k mile 2003 automatic CL-S, with a rebuilt OEM trans. by the previous owner at 45k, dies, in goes a BAYA AV6.
If I still own it by then.
The issue will be finding one with the lowest miles at that time.

Green is non-hybrid and therefore searchable.
If you search under either green the other should default in said search, at least that's been my experience.
