I lost both mine and obviously the battery died. This is what to do to retreive the codes for a tsx, it may be different for other vehicles:

-Call the acura dealer you purchased the vehicle from and ask them to give you what they have on record (usually they only have the radio code and not the nav code) for the specific VIN number of your vehicle

-if you did not purchase the vehicle from an acura dealer or purchased a used vehicle, call up acura head office and they will be able to tell you what dealership originally sold the car so you can call them and get the code from them

-the dealership might ask you to fax over proof of registration to verify that you are in fact the owner before they give you the code(s) they have

-since some dealerships do not have the nav code recorded, you can retreive that by giving the serial number of the trunk mounted dvd rom for the navigation unit (found on top or below on a sticker) to any acura dealership and they will be able to pull up the code for you.


***This SHOULD be a free service, but the dealerships might opt to charge for the code retreival. I didn't have to pay, but you might have to. Literally takes the dealership less then 30 seconds to provide you with both codes!

With this method you do NOT have to pull the radio out to find the serial in order to retreive the code.

On a side not, not all vehicles have the radio code on a sticker behind the glovebox or coin tray...just something I found out today from Acura
