Too Low?

I'm trying to sell my 02 Anthracite TL-P with 49,653 miles on it. It has the Viper 791XV alarm and Pioneer 8600-mp headunit. I also just installed the Optima yellow top battery. A guy came to look at my car and offered me $15,500 for it but i said the lowest i would go is $16,500. Is the dude trying to lowball me? Should i take the $15,500?

Thanks

Might make him come up to $16,000, but that still sounds pretty low to me. Check blue book.

no, i don't have navi. Everything else on the car is stock, except for the 35% tint. The car does need new tires though. Blue book private party was around 16,500 if i remember correctly. I only have $12,000 left to pay off on the TL. What would you do?

If blue book is saying $16,500 then you should grab the $16k while you can. Blue book and Edmunds tend to be way to high. The most accurate pricing is the NADA book. You can usually find that one at the front desk area of your local library. In any event that price sounds about right. My 2002 TL-p had 89k when I was going to sell it in May. At the time, I checked blue book and the extra miles were worth a $3,500 deduction and the car was worth $12k, on a good day. Add the $3,500 to $12k and you come to $15.500.

Yeah, i got it listed on the internet for $16,999. I also got it on autotrader but the only thing i have gotten from them are scam emails. The guy who wants to buy is asking that i take into consideration $15,000 because that is his maximum limit. I told him that the lowest i would go is $16,000. Really, if you can afford $15,000 then most likely you can affored $16,000. Should i take the $15,000 or wait for more offers? Might be forever. Is the TL not popular anymore cuz it seems nobody is interested.
