TLS commercial
Woke up all groggy this morning and flipped on the TV and what do I see? The TLS commercial. Didn't know when it came out but this was the first time I saw it. It had some guy going up North to buy some clam chowder for lunch. Didn't see much of the car, though. Needed better lighting IMO.
I will be watching for it the adds in car mags have appeared.

I saw the TL-S TV spot last night too. Pretty cool commercial. The guy supposedly drove all the way from NYC to New Engliand to have clam chowder for lunch. I guess the point is that the car is so pleasurable to drive that driving that far for lunch is not unthinkable. The camera zoomed in very quickly at the TL-S logo in the back while the guy was negotiating the windy roads, and it showed a quick look at the dials in the dash (the dials had a white/light colored background). I didn't think it looked that different exterior-wise from the 2001 TL.

I just saw one on Speedvision for the TL Type S. The guy was driving somewhere out in California to meet his girl for dinner.
He got her some flowers Type S was silver he was using the Navigation System to get there.

I too woke up this morning to the TV-Spot. I got out of the shower (well maybe that's too much information (TMI) ha ha ha), only to find that the commercial was ending saying something about the new TL-S, and "did you come up here on vacation . . . no, just for lunch!" I want to see it again.
I saw the car in person today too.... HATED the BIG A$$ grill. LOVED the taillights... sticker wasn't bad at 33, 710 w/ NAV.
I also saw the commercial for the first time while at a bar..... 3 beers in 15 minutes on an empty stomach has some of the details of it pretty cloudy, but the commercial seemed like the regular TL commercials... boring and geared toward ann "older" crowd. If they had more exciting commercials, I'm sure people would be rushing down to the dealership, I guess they really don't want that as they don't "spice" up their commercials even with a "spiced" up car.

The TL commercials are targeted for people of age 32-45. But most of you here are younger. The CL is probaly in the same age range. So take the age range back 4yrs from 32 to 28 & up from 45 to 50. This would be the TL & CL market in general. Some of you here would look at buying a IS300 not my age group of 39.I would look at cars like ES300 or 5 series BMW if I could afford that. The commercials are somewhat boring but well suited for my age group.
