TL damaged

Last night, the TL sat out in the yard when a severe thunderstorm came from the west and dropped golfball sized hail. Needless to say, after my initial inspection this morning - there are numerous dents in the trunk, roof, and hood. My TL had never been damaged or had any paintwork.

I've never experienced this, and I can't find a copy of an insurance policy... I know that comprehensive covers hail damage, but since the car was sitting here (and I have photos), would that mean that homeowner's/renter's insurance would cover this? Is paintless dent removal an option?

Bummer. I had that happen once. As for insurance it all depends on your policy, but id thinkit would come from your auto policy. And as for paintless, it depends on how bad and where they are. Id try going to one to get a estimate to see if they can remove them ( i personally would go the auto body route if there were alot)

I think if it's on your property it's under homeowners and if it's in the street auto..

Is paintless dent removal an option? Yes , I got them to remove a dent of size of a tennis ball and you would not notice that it was there , amazing !!! In Canada they charge by panel or 60 can$ for the first dent and 20$ for the nest one .
And you will keep your original paint . I really recommende it.

If you take it to the body shop, don't take it to Nalley Collision, unless you don't need your TL back until 2036. I would let you know if they do good work, but I still don't have my TL back after a week and a half. All it needed was a headlight and bumper cover from a parking lot scrape.

Oh I wouldn't take my TL back to Nalley anything EVER again after the treatment I received from Nalley Acura. It was the most horrible dealership experience ever. I'm sure I'm going to have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder later after dealing with them this time last year. They were so incredibly horrible.. I was speechless.

PDR is an option and I would suggest having them take a look. Sometimes they will not do if they think they will crack the paint. It just really depends but it will not hurt and they are obviously much cheaper than the conventional route.

The only thing is is that if there ae alot of dents, it may be cheaper to go the paint route.

My 2003 Accord got caught in a hail storm when I was out of town - had to go through the Auto to get it repaired. All of the Black circles are dents:

Yeah, that's what my TL looks like. It's depressing just looking at it. I'm not even going to bother repairing it any time soon, actually. With gas prices it is rarely driven. Spend most of the time in the economical Camry.

BTW, for the Accord, did you get paintless dent removal? Can you tell me about how much it cost you, and the success of it?

Sorry to hear about your experience at Nalley, that is where I purchased my TL about two months ago, I am not looking forward to using their Service Department

I'd strongly recommend you DO NOT use Nalley Service. It is the worst experience in the world. They caused my TL more problems than the repaired. Ed Voyles is the way to go.
