Through The Fill Hole - Pics of a 10-Year Old Engine

Not great pics, I admit. Was just curious how clean or dirty it was from what little I could see.

2002, TL-S. Basically stock. 10 years old on 12/31/11. 105,400 miles.

What do you think?

By the book - 7,500 miles. Changed to synthetic (Mobil1 or Pennzoil Platinum 5W30) with a Mobil1 filter 3 or 4 years ago.

Thanks Tom. But seriously, you don't need to buy a borescope and drive all the way out here just to look my old engine.

Appreciate the thought though.

Looks like my motor!

I do oil changes 3/3

Borescope at Costco was like 150ish? Could be lower. Really tough to check valves, great for cylinder walls and piston face I should add.

Now there's a good pic.

You must have a 'real' camera (compared to my POS phone cam).

We spread the miles around. Since 2002, We've put something like 438,000 on 7 cars all told (5 of those were 'repmobiles'). Works out to about 43,500 per year.
