I believe that is around the price for these things. A friend got a few for his Lincoln and it was definitely expensive. I'll try to get the site for you.

Exclamation galls! do a search...

lookup pics of my car from the show, the post by dark dj. you will see the strobes i have setup behind the mugen grill and on the lower grill. i also have the rear tailights hooked in. 4 seperate light housings and lenses w/ strobe encased. 10 speed control switch. i didn't do the headlights because they always have condensation problems. looking at $400 plus install! not cheap but the real deal! also put a wig/wag on my highbeams!

I used to have them in my previous Accord. It was fun, when people didnt want to move out of your way in the left lane, just flip the switch and watch people just move out of your way!! Just be careful not to get caught by the cops cuz I believe its called an impersonation ticket, which is a mandatory fine and a trip to the precinct since you are posing as a cop. Trust me I know, I got caught, wasn't fun.

I have al3ways wanted to do this, but the price and the install are deal breakers.... i was told by a cop friend that sometimes they sell them out of stripped cop cars..... I do know that if you get caught with them, it is a bitch to defend against.... but nonetheless it is cool as hell.... For the guys who did have them, where did ya'll get them from and is it a DIY install or does it require professional install?

Nym31mp, if you get it, keep us posted....

Has anyone at least tried to do a goggle search for strobe kits ???? There are so many places that sell kits online its not funny. Do your research first thou because power supplies come in different wattages and with different patterns. Like audio systems of coarse the more wattage you send to the strobe the brighter it will be.

http://store.yahoo.com/sirennet/unstrobkit.html

http://www.strobesnmore.com/

http://www.galls.com/category2.html?...talog&cat=1762

Here are some links to the places I found with good equipment for a good price.

Some of the better brand name strobe companies are Whelen and Federal Signal

i have strobe kits installed on all my funeral cars. Able2 Sho-me kits are good quality, also whelen strobes aren't bad. http://www.strobe-direct.com/ has a good selection. I havent installed them in my acura yet because i don't know how it would work with the headlights, but if it's been done i'd like to see what you guys have come up with.

check out a police supply place. evidently you know a cop pretty well, ask him if he can get you a name. i know the place that does a lot of cop car repairs in clifton, but i don't know if they do installs like this.

i don't believe it's illegal to own these or have them on your car, just to use them in public is illegal. as long as your not on a public road with them on you should be fine.

TL_Diplomat has them on his car! BTW, where the hell is he? They were pretty cool, I'd love to drive around just scaring people, but with my luck, I'd do it to an undercover cop.
