These cup holders suck..
I know this has nothing to do with the cup holders but did you know that if you have the right size cell/digital phone you can remove the cup holders and the phone rests perfectly in the spot?? So instead of mounting your phone and paying a fortune you can set it up where the cupholders were. Also, there is an outlet in the center console that you can plug the phone into if you feed it back throught the hole behind the cupholders. Just thought that someone might like to know that...
Take a look at this link.

I own a 2k version but I don't think there is any difference between the 99 and 00. The insert only cost me around $12 and the dealer told me that they would take it back if it doesn't fit. The part number is posted in the topic from the link above.

Yup they work good, the only thing is that there are two very small tabs(toward the shift knob) that I shaved off because it wouldn't close smoothly(I doubt if anyone else noticed because it is almost unnoticeable!! but I'm anal in that way!!! LOL!!!

I did the same thing. With them on there there is a very small gap at the front, without them it looks better.

I shaved mine off as well. A razor knife works well. Just take your time and go slow, you'll never notice. Tann...I was nervous about shaving them till you posted you did it..Thanks Man!
