Question TCS light flashes, normal?

When I take off quick at a light the TCS light starts flashing. I never noticed this until yesterday. Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal, but it won't do much when it's "working"...

It will apply front brakes, but won't cut the fuel...

i've never seen the TCS light at full throttle.

i did have a shifting problem. one day i noticed the car wouldn't kick down when i accelerated on the freeway. once i got into street traffic, the car was lurching with the TCS light coming on intermittently 2 hours later, it was fine.

then a couple of weeks later it happened again. but this time the TCS light stayed on and the car was lurching violently. the dealer replaced the throttle control sensor under warranty. somehow, i don't think my tranny is shifting as smoothly as before.

i would have them check it out as the TCS should only be engaged between 0-18mph and if its popping up at full throttle with the TCS switch set on 'off', there might be something else going on.

I think I was going to visit the dealer tomorrow to see the RSX, I will ask about it.

TCS is always working. When the light comes on, it means TCS is OFF, not ON.

I think what the original poster meant was flashing TCS light. That means that the TCS is actively applying brakes and/or cutting the throttle to prevent wheel spin.
