Question sub and amp in trunk installation help

when i bought my car, the previous owner had a system in the trunk but he took it out before he sold me it. he took out the factory sub when he installed his system and didnt have it when he sold me the car so now i have no sub. i recently purchased a 12" alpine type-r sub and a mtx thunder amp. i searched and read a lot about LOCs and things like that but everything was about if there is a factory bose sub in. what is the simplest way to install my new sub and amp into my trunk? i dont have any wires at all because i bought them off of a friend who upgraded his system and he didnt have the wires, so could you tell me everything i need to buy and what i have to do to install it.

here are some pictures of what my trunk looks like right now where the sub used to be:

wow.. looks like he tore up the wiring pretty well. i dont understand why he did that if he was just hooking up an LOC to his stock sub to get the output. Anyways, you see how those cables are only two colors right? the two grey wires and the two white wires. If i remember correctly, the grey wire is the negative and the white wires are positive. depending on what kind of LOC you have, you will either have to twist the two wires with the same color together and hook up the grey wire to the negative and the white wires to the positive end of the LOC. that would then transmit the channels to the RCA output, and you can plug that into your amp, and viola. unless the past owner was ghetto, your battery hookup should still be there, so just hook that up to your battery and you're good to go. if not, time to run a 4 gauge battery line from your battery through your firewall and into your trunk. let me know if you have any questions. good luck
