right but you have 2 mufflers at the rear right? I think they are talking about straight pipes from the cat all the way to the rear exit, no mufflers at all.

This is basically what it sounds like straight pipe (i had a cat on in this vid, yes there are mufflers but there are straight pieces of pipe blocking off the baffles inside so they are bypassed (my loud tips as i call them)

What are you taking about? That was stock pipe, stock exhaust manifold (no header).

^probably because you have your mufflers on the end. he put a pipe through his mufflers so it bypasses the baffles (plates in the muffler that direct the air through the can to change the sound). so his mufflers are there for aesthetic purposes. but if you ditched your mufflers, then idk lol

With my new exhaust i have dual 2.25 piping all the way back to the mufflers. In that vid it was the stock pipe with stock dia pipe replacing the mid muffler and resonator.

did you make a new mid-pipe or did you just cut out and weld in sections?

i ditched my mid muffler and tried a straight pipe recently. absloutely hated the sound. horrible. but i think that's cuz i have XS headers which resonate somewhat at certain rpm. the next day, i cut the straight pipe back out and welded the mid muff back in and it sounded fine, just like before i messed with it. imo, don't do it, especially with aftermarket headers (other then something quality like CT's).
