Pretty Ballzy to sell them on ebay if this is the case. I mean I checked his feedback and found the majority of his sales where in ballast, headlights, bulbs. I guess the buyers are willing to turn a blind eye to where he got these parts to save a bundle.
Hell if someone can try to sell parts of the Space Shuttle Columbia after it broke up during re-entry on Ebay, anything is possible.
All I have to say is I'm glad I'm living no where near elkins park, PA.

I wish they would come up with some kinda protection that if a headlight is removed forcefully that it doesnt just fry the ballast or bulbs, something like self destruction. That's where their meat and potatoes comes from, not the headlight housing, thats just a bonus if they manage to salvage it. If they did come up with something like that (hey, its late here and my brain needs food for thought at work) it could be a deterrent.

Could be stuff from a mechanics shop. I've gotten stuff like this from my buddies shop. Small accident happens to break the tab on head/tail light, but there isn't any outer damage. Could be stolen, might be legit. No real way to tell.

Especially when some are in tip top condition according to the auctions.

Could be junkyard parts. No real way of tellling if they are stolen. I know that there are a lot of junkyards from PA selling their goods on ebay.

If there are a lot of those specific cars in the area, then its possible. I've seen about 5 or 6 sets of RSX headlights from in my mechanics shop, broken tabs or not. You'd be surprised how many you can find.

As to stolen goods, my friends car got stolen and parked a little ways from his house. Stole his cd player and bowling shoes. Kinda funny, but messed up.

These headlight housings are commonly broken like this in minor low speed front end collisions ...insurance buys all new.....left with misc front end parts....no mystery here? They are junkyard parts.....

if it was accident headlights.. why only headlights from HID standard vehicles? why not every other kind of vehicle...
i dotn know, maybe they are stolen, maybe they are not.. just struck me as a little suspicious though. i should have put a question mark in my title.

so they make you pay for extra ballast and bulbs meanwhile the ones that were in the accident still work?

Just buy a set from him and have him meet you for local pickup that coincidentally is at a 2nd gen TL NYC meet. Then we'll have some real street justice. =)
