Spoiler Depot Spoiler

Wassup guys, I purchased the SpoilerDepot OEm spoiler for my 02 TL Type-S and the lights are rattling like crazy when I bump my system. Has this happened to anyone else. I have yet to dynamat it. Is it normal for the spoiler to vibrate like that or should I send it back.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure it's your spoiler? It might also be your license plate/license plate holder on your rear.

Yeah if thas the case, just put two rubber stoppers in the back of ur liscene plate and that will take care of that problem. Or if its the lights... try to insert somethign that will close te gap and prevent the rattling.

I had my wife actually get in the car, turn the music up. You can see the lights inside shaking, not just vibrating and thats where the rattling is comeing from. I even tried to tightin the two screws but to no avail, I want to try and pull the whole assembly off and go into it but that may void my warranty

Kinda off topic but anyone who purchased a spoiler from spoiler depot know what the two red plastic things are for? It came in the small plastic bag of screws and gasket material. Thanks.

I got mine from spoilerdepot, and i have the same problem. the solution described on acura-cl.com is what you have to do

its not the light rattling, its the wire inside. you have to wrap it in felt. i have 2 full layers of dynamat on the inside of the trunk lid, and this only helped a little bit. you have to wrap the cable in felt if you want to get rid of the rattle!!!

3rd brake light as the one mounted behind the rear window? What exactly does it do and why does it look so complex just for plugging a hole?

I think your talking about the 2 red tap-in clips... they are for tapping the rear deck brake light wires to power the spoiler LED.

I appreciate all you guys input, but like I stated earlier, my problem is the actual lights inside. I can see them vibrating and shaking and can hear the rattle ( sounds like crap). I even pulled the light off to see if I could go inside and tighten the screws thats holding the actual bulbs on but once the lights were in they glued the pieces together. I may just opt out and get the clear lense.
