Just thought this was kinda funny. Im cleaning my car out and I hit the dash while cleaning the windshield and I saw the speedometer hit 5 mph. So I hit it a couple more times and hit 35mph with the car off. I have too much fun when I clean the car!

Just thought it was interesting.

Nope! I didn't really hit it that hard either. I just hit right above the speedometer and it did it.

i had that happen to me too... dealer said its static electricity thats built up in the coils of the speedo... i guess if you jar it a little that can happen... funniest damn thing i ever saw...

 

U think that would work on a cop. Turn the car off and hit the dash and say look my speedo is wrong.

 

good thing to keep in mind? it may get you a warning or a fix it ticket which would be easy to fix

It only does it when you hit it over the speedometer but back just a tad. It should jump.

 

does that mean its better than NOS?

 

Mine does the same thing as well. I was worried that something may be wrong w/ my speedo, but it seems to be normal for our cars...at least it better be normal!

You might be on to something.. Think about it like this..

If A Cop stops me and says did u know you were going 90 MPH? I will be no sir I thought I was doing the limit.. Maybe theres something wrong with the speedmoeter.. and than u touch the speedometer and show him the needle is loose and he will let u go free by saying just get it fixed.. LOL! Im not kidding, dont u think this would work??
