driving back from vegas and light kept coming on and off towards the end of the trip. any ideas?
I live in
sometimes when i lean forward while driving the light would come on. other times i would lean to the right and it would come on too. i think theres a switch in the seats like the cars how they know when no one is sittin in the passenger side and the seat belt light would always be flashing.

please read the owner manual for real info
The passenger front seat has an Occupant Position Detection System the OPDS
If they lean forward towards the dash or lay the seat way back.. or lean against the side window, it tells the computer they would be injured in a crash by the airbag deployment- too close to the airbag, so it wont go off, or works at a reduced rate (depending on year.model)
You can fool the sensor with a bookbag, groceries, briefcase etc placed on the passenger seat
If the RED SRS light ever stays on- and you havn't done anything at all to the electrical items on the car, take it to the dealer
We have a special 10 year 150k mile warranty on the SRS-

how about the open door light???? does the tl have one? haha cuz i was driving with my door open one time thinking the light would come on if it were, but it doesnt come on
It's the Halladay season!
it does, well 02-03 does, and it lights up which door/trunk is open.

side airbag ONLY means the passenger side airbag
If passenger is `out of position`-- based on the weight sensors in the butt compared to the back- it disarms the pass side airbag and triggers a yellow warning light
If you are moving in the driver seat and it triggers a light- go see the dealer
about the special SRS 10/150 warranty- you have a problem

canuks get hosed on a lot of the usa extended warranty stuff
I dont work for acura but have dealership work experience, and talk to the service managers and writers that are members here..they gave me the 99.99% covered on usa cars
The dealership is happy to do warranty work- if there is a problem and a warranty coverage for it
They are not lying to deny you a free safety related repair-
some people may not have all the knowledge, or look in the right places for the info
Call acura customer care for Canada and ask them-
go in person to ask the service MANAGER to please look up the extended warranties or TSB tech bulletins on the problem by VIN
USA cars also have a `driver seatbelt fails to retract properly`- warranty
