Shift Knob

So I'm thinkin about buying a B&M chrome polished shift knob for my 99 TL-P. How can the stock knob be removed? Is there a technique? I don't want to break it..lol. Any feedback would be welcomed.

The technique is pretty simple....Just twist it off.

Is it a screw type pattern that just unscrews around the stick and the knob comes off? Or is it like glued or put on a different way in which its not intended to be removed?

well on the 02/03s there is a metal collar/ring at the bottom that you will turn counterclockwise (asssuming you are sitting in seat) and then you can start turning the knob once that is removed. i'm not sure if you can remove them both at the same time, but i would do it to be safe (such a long time ago).

good luck

All you need to do is twist counter clockwise

yea, if it is your first time taking the stock knob off, it will take quite a bit of force to get it going. but once you break the seal, it is easy from there.
