Shaking/vibrating problems

lately, when i'm braking at high speed (60mph or greater), my steering wheel would shake back and forth alot, and i can feel the car vibrate. i was just wondering what is causing this? is it alignment, wheel balance, or rotor/brake problems? a friend had mentioned that it is probably the rotor. any feedback is appreciated. thanks!!

i have a 03 tl type-s, with about 30K miles on it. i'm still on the original stock tires, so the tires are almost worn out (looking to replace it soon)

thanks guy for the quick replies. so i guess that mean i need to get new ones!! is that the average wear time for rotors ~ 25K - 30K miles? would you recommend getting OEM rotors or aftermarket rotors?

Take it to the dealer, and they will resurface the front rotors for you. or just get new after market rotors and new pads. Stock rotors are known to fail prematurely.

i had that problem too, but when i took it to the shop, they said the rotors did not have to be replaced, instead they just resurfaced them. after that, it was less shakey for me. you can still feel a little but not as much as before.

I got mine resurface and they are as good as new. They have been good for 5k miles now. I figure the next time they warp on me I'll upgrade to irotors or something

oh and if you go aftermarket, get slotted. They help alot, and drilled tend to crack if you don't get high quality ones
