Roof Damage; HELP!!

Hei pals, as the header says, my roof is damaged and I need your help on what to do. Just a brief background, ex-girlfriend wants me back and I won't take her back so she decided, amongst other things to 'stomp the yard' on my TL roof. Called the police b4 she did that to ma car at 630 but they didnt get here til 654 and the damage was already done. Pictures attached. They didnt write any police report because apparently it did not qualify as domestic voilence since we do not live together or have kids together. They told me to just go downtown some time during the week to file a complaint and decide if they should issue an warrant. Status quo they issued a restraining order.

Question: I have collission and comprehensive on my insurance but I would hate to have my premiums go up because of this; what should I do, would her insurance pay for this???

Question: How and when should I report, if I have to, to my insurance company, should I call them tonight or just call them in the morning and tell them I found it like that? (I know they will ask if there is anyone I suspect to have done this and then what do I say?? lol)

Question: Her mom said she will try her best to help me so I should not go downtown to have a warrant for her daughter's arrest; I feel for them too I know they are not financially well so her saying that is probably just wishful thinking because already they have been owing me $200 for the past 6months and I didnt mind, also, she is trying to raise funds about $1500 so she can go back to school in January What should I do???

Any estimates of how much damage this is..? Sunroof still tilts but obviously cant slide in back. I just hope it doesnt rain before I take it in.

Bad things happen to good people for real.

My

1st: File the complaint. You need it on record how, when and who damaged your car. If she goes to jail, tough shit, she shouldn't have damaged your property. I seriously doubt she'll go to jail, but she may go to court.

2nd: Report, accurately, to your insurance agent. Even if you don't file a claim immediatly, REPORT the incident.

3rd: This should be comprehensive; you didn't run into anything. It should be on the order of Vandalism. As such, your premium should NOT increase if you choose to file a claim.

4th: Either get the money up front for repairs from the (pschyo) girl or her parents. DON'T *trust* them to pay. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. If you don't get the money, file the Insurance Claim.

WOW!

My :
- file a claim with your insurance company as someone pointed out earlier, but get the insurance company to go after your EX for the money (that's what you pay them for!). There shouldn't be any increase in premium for vandalism.
- get the restraining order & stay away from her

holy crap, she musta been hot as hell. only hot chicks are that crazy!

neway, that shit aint gona be cheap. unless they find some way to bang it out. but i doubt it cause then they would have to get in between your ceiling inside the cabin and the roof to keep the space for the sunroof to slide into.

thats not gonab easy to replace. how many times have you heard of someone ordering a roof as a replacement.

good luck with that man. maybe its time for you to paint your roof black. i've had a thing for black roofs lately.

LMFAO, now the people at work know I'm on the internet cause I was laughing.

Anyways, file that asap. Get it taken care of, there is no excuse for that. (other than insanity and then she should still pay) Don't be so worried about their financial situation, it isn't your fault there crackhead daughter stomped your roof in. Geez I thought MY ex was crazy

Yup, agreed with everyone else, go file the complaint this week. Just be prepared to have to show up to court as well to testify. It definitely helps that you called the 5-0 before hand too

Update: tried to go downtown to file with the police but they were out for veterans day. Nonetheless I reported it to my insurance company but the claim adjuster won't look at it til Thursday and tonite it's supposed to rain . I tried my best to cover it up though so hopefully it wont leak.
Anyways, thanks everyone, y'all said it right; it wont affect my premiums coz they asked for her name, address, and phone and said they will go after her for the money. Now she doesn't owe me but the insurance company
I'll let you know Thursday.
