Don't worry about it, it happens when it happens, we can't predict and escape it! Just think of it as a sign, GOD LET YOU LIVE!! Use it as a sign to become the best physical therapist in the whole entire world!! w000t...well at least thats what i tell myself lol! Good luck, and hopefully you don't get messed up with insurance like i did, since your car hit other cars. But, it seems like you took the most damage, soooo no worries man!

Good luck on everything Yo..

Did it too ...

Damn cell phones ... I was just reaching for mine , the guys in front stopped ( sudden ) to make a left ... I " bumped " him and three other cars... Damn shame ... I loved my '99 TL even with 120 k ...
They will "total it" ... The body shop for MC Grath Acura decided it's 11500 damage .... So I'll see what State Farm Pays . What do you guys think ? I would like to get a TL-S, maybe 2002. Are they OK as far as the trans goes ? Anybody knows the rage of VIN's that are really faulty ?

Damn, brotha, sorry to hear about your TL. I haven't posted here in a while but your post compelled me to do so. Good luck with your insurance company and make sure your back is 100% healed before you stop physical therapy. I was rear-ended a while ago (in the TL also, but not as bad) and got tired of going to PT so I stopped. I have lingering back problems and I wonder if it was due to the accident.

Good luck.

Sorry man, was a great looking car.

The fact that you walked away from that accident is incredible - to the auto industry and especially Acura for designing the vehicle to absorb the impact.

Good luck, and spend the time smartly while waiting for the insurance check - find another great car!

Ouch ,,,, That's a real shame about your TL-S , nice look'in car , gonna get another one?????? . Be sure to follow the PT 's advice , do all the exercises and tend all the sessions. Now , how fast was this guy going ? You said you were coming out of school , so were you still in a school zone ? I can't see this guy dinging you that hard if he was within a school zone speed limit. Saw something on TV awhile back about manufactures extending the front bumper down on SUV's so they don't over ride a cars crash system .

Damn you really got creamed.

I just saw your "before" pics, very nice ride....Those "after" pics were very painful to look at.

Glad you're ok though.

How did the guys truck fare? Ever considering going with another TL-S?

You should be able to get 10-15k for pain and suffering after the physical therapy, 33% of which will go to the lawyer unless you have one in the family.

Many people go this route, and you can feel fully justified b/c you do have some neck pain. Contrary to common belief, you'll never go to trial, and all that stuff. Just fill out some paper work and the lawyer takes care of the rest.

This is all assuming you have Full tort insurance.

ahhh the truck... it had a dent in the bumper! LOL. jk.. i have to say, i think the TL is one of the safest cars... all the time on these boards you see people... "SOMEONE WRECKED MY SHIT" "ACCIDENT" and all the time they are ok, and usually the TL is fucked up.

Wow dude, dayum shame what happened to your car.. I used to work on 108 back in the day.. almost got killed on executive drive near the chick fila the other day. If state farm gives you any issues have the car estimated by PIE's in ellicott city. Its the place that norris acura west sends the nsx's for body work. Trust they will have the estimate so high they will have no choice but to total it out.

Good thing you're making up for the loss with a 350Z, I bet you'll end up modding the hell out of that thing even though you've been screwed once before.. props to you my friend By the way, have any sound clips of the exhaust?

I'm also glad to hear you are alright. It was very mature of you to think of how the driver feels and to be so cool about it happening. Enjoi the new car.
