Driving and engine over heated.

Checked hood and found Upper Hose busted. Towed to PepBoys(Pasadena, CA) to replace. Was fixed and drove home, but still rising to HOT.

What would cause hose to bust, and is this it for the radiator? And I hate PepBoys, do not trust those dudes.

 

Either they didn't bleed the system correctly or your thermostat is toast.

Btw, what coolant did they install? Check your receipt...I hope they installed the Prestone All Makes All Models coolant, not their in-house, silicated coolant.

 

recheck the coolant level. Make sure its full.
