Resonator removed finally

I finally removed my resonator after having my car almost 2 years. I do feel a little more of a response according to butt dyno (could be just my mind playing tricks on me for doing a free mod). Was wondering if the plastic tube that came out with the resonator can I attach that to the bottom of the air box to have the flow of air comming into it head on???
Followed th DIY 45 min. tops
like the sound too
I guess having the K&N helps my airflow as well

That is the resonator for the air filter? On the bottom of the air filter itself?

Yeah I know. But either way it's too much trouble for the minimial gains (if any at all) and you'll have to clean the air filter more often.

Yeah, I drove my car without the resonator for a full 11 months before adding an AEM SRI.

Loved it without, but love it even more with an intake.

have you not seen it? Ya its below the stock intake box. here is a link with pictures on how to remove it, so you can see it better.

hey cutting the bottom of the air box off allows alot more air to get to the filter.
and using a sawzall is what i used. very easy to cut open. you sould use a hot knife of a jig saw also

Thanks for all the info guys. Don't think I'm going to do the sawzaw cutting, I will just stick with my K&N and no resonator and call it a day.

I nominate FSTTYMS1 to become a mod he always has great insight and knowledge for our cars (not to mention he has over 9,000 posts )
