So i got a new light that flashes in the dash they require for maintenance light it flashes for about 8 Seconds when starting the engine when the engine starts it's like if the idle control valve doesn't work but the code is not that I want to know exactly what it is be four this causes me a ton of problems.

To reset the Maintenance light:

Turn the key to off position.
Press and hold the SELECT and RESET buttons on the instrument panel and turn the ignition to position (II).
Continue to hold buttons until the indicator disappears.
Turn ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Reset your codes, then drive around for a few days and see if your Check Engine light comes on, then pull the codes again.

General info for the P0170 code is:

It’s a maintenance reminder like oil change, tire rotation, etc. it does not indicate any problem.

The check engine light is the one to be concerned with.
