Removing Wax

This weekend i am going to installing a clear bra on my TL, i just wanted to ask what does everyone use to remove wax. Someone told me a clay bar would do the job, but i am not sure.

Let us know how it goes in detail. I've been thinking about it myself.

matter of fact i just finished installing a clear bra (xpel) on my sister's 2001.5 Passat this past weekend, what I did was , I first washed with a car wash soap the hood, fenders and mirrors...then I clayed the car while it had a lot of car wash sud on it (for lubrication) then rinsed it off, and went over the hood, fenders and mirrors with dishing washing soap.....then followed directions on the xpel install sheet...good luck

Lighter fluid removes wax without damaging the finish. Just wash with car wash after wiping car down.

oh, don't forget to light the lighter fluid first so it melts off the wax first.

Removing wax

Users in the CL web page say to wash the car with blue dawn dish washing liquid. I would use prepsol, I think it is a 3m product, you can get at auto paint stores. Please tell me more about a clear bra. I am using a acura bra on my 01 cls and it is a pain but I need the protection on my 100 mile a day commute.

thanks
