Oh man, I'd love to see a DIY on this.
Will you be doing this job on a lift, or can it be done which jacking up the car on the floor?

It can be done on a jack on the floor but with blocks on the jack to make it stand high

I wish i could do a diy but my camera broke lol and I spent most of my paycheck on the new tranny.

Little long for a DIY

They switched the tranny design halfway through the 07 year. You have a 50/50 chance that it wil bolt or not before you get to far with it

No need for a lift, or blocks under the jack stands. I've changed 4 in my garage.

Oh and there isn't a diy for this. There are too. Many things and steps to make it a DIY.

its really not that hard. Just because its a Transmission doesnt mean its hard to do. Honestly other than its weight, its really no more difficult than changing the shocks and springs. If found getting the swaybar endlinks off to be more of a chore.

1000 miles to be safe. Realistically, 100 miles.

It's not a new transmission, so it's already broken into.

It was really straight forward. It is really convient that our subframe splits in half so we dont have to take the complete thing off. Swap out the range switch sensor other than that everything else fit perfectly. Make sure you have all your tools. Mine were scattered around the garage before i started the swap so it took sometime to find the right tools. No special tools were needed besides ratchet tools, and a jack. Make sure to get a jack that can pick up your front end fairly high because i had to use blocks of wood on top of my jacks. feel free to pm me if you have any questions and ill do my best to answer them.

Can you please explain how you dealt with the weight of the tranny after jacking up the front end. How did you lower the tranny after unbolting it? Did you use another jack? And please tell how you lifted the new tranny in place. Thanks.

Basically after unbolting the tranny and removing the subframe i put a woodblock under the engine so i wont ruin my motor mounts. After unbolting all the bolts i took down the tranny with a jack with a block on top off it and with blocks on both sides so they will catch it if something goes wrong. Same thing with the new one. My friend and I lifted it unto the block and had blocks on both sides for safety. One person was operating the jack lift while the other was directing on what to do.

I did my best on explaining it. I am not a mechanic but this was really straight forward. The most hardest part for me was remembering where every bolt went back because i didnt label them
