A friend of mine and I removed it from his 98 Camry (after 110k miles and 7 years) and it left no residue at all. His was screwed on (attached inside the sunroof opening), and if the TLs is the same way, then there shouldn't be any glue. It wouldn't make sense for them to glue it on, anyway.

There shouldn't be any glue but that's not to say that there isn't. You never know what the person that owned the car before you did. I have removed my plenty of times and it's very easy. I would take the screws out and see how hard it is to pull off. If there is glue there, you could always use the same procedure as debadging.

The 2 screws are all that holds it. It seems stuck because it's pulled down tight to make sure airflow can't get under it. Go ahead and take it off - much cleaner that way.

I just removed mine recently as well - 2 screws off it came - washed it - used rubbing compound - washed - clay bar - wash - and then wax and polish - there are still marks but not that visible - I figure a few more coats of wax will help with that - looks better without it... GL!
