the fuse box should be at the side of the dash you can only see it when the driver side door is open and you will need a test light to find out which 1 lights up when you turn the key

if you don't want to splice wires then just buy an 'add a circuit' and put it in. it's a nifty little device that will allow you to tap an accessory fuse for putting in extra power wires. if you do a search i think there are photos of the actual product. i'm pretty sure you can find it at most autoplaces.

Why didn't you just hook it up to the sub amp's remote turn-on wire behind the rear seat? That's what I did. I forgot what color it was though as it has been so long but if you have a Helm's manual or a test light, it will be easy to find.

Open the driver door and on the side of the dashboard, you will see a panel. Pop it open and there's a fuse box in there. The diagram is on labeled on the other side of the panel cover; locate fuse number 12 for the the wipers, which is the bottom one in the left column (only two fuses in the left column).

You can use that. That's where I hooked up my V1 hardwire kit.

I tapped into the 12 volt plug in the armrest for mine. Just remove the center console and splice it in. No noise on my dvd.

The remote power wire in the stock amp (even when the wire was tapped without the amp connected) had insufficient voltage to kick the relay in my amp...had to tap an ACC wire in the driver's fuse box. Down side is since the amp is always on, you'll hear a thump each time you turn the head unit on or off.
