Reliability after 115,000+

I'm currently in high school, a junior, and my parents have been thinking about buying me a new car, or used with alot less miles for a graduation present next year and then I'd give my TL, with 116,000 miles to my older brother, who does not have his own car. If I keep my TL my brother will get the newer car. Now my TL has never been in the shop for anything major or even some minor problems at all. I have only taken it in to replace old parts that run good and replace them with a newer part. I have never had a 2nd transmission or anything far or close to any problems such as that. Now before I get down to some serious modding is it worth it to keep the TL for the next 4-5 or so years or should I get the newer car? I love this car but I'm not sure how much more it will go before somethin happens. That's true for all cars, but I just don't know. I've got alot more dough in the wallet after this summer job and I wonder if I should save it all or keep modding. O and I just bought new rims but I am trying to mod it in a way were it is removable for another car in case that time arrives.

If it's a newer TL, I'd go for it.

Get a TSX. A lot easier to mod, and 6-speed. You wont be dissapointed.

Have I let you down yet?

Yeah I've been mainly looking at Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus. So I do know how to look for the right car. My dad has to agree with it first, but we have similar tastes and I have to stay under 18,000. I was looking at the TSX but that's a push at the price, and I have also looked at the 02-03 TL Type-S, 02-05 RSX, Civic Si (the new one), 03-04 Lexus IS, Infiniti G35 (love the coupe but the sedan is cheaper and easier to find), Subaru Impreza WRX, and the Toyota Camry Solara coupe. You guys got a take on any of the following cars? I read up on a few but haven't really looked into them a ton cuz I still love my TL. If I keep the TL my brother is getting a Hyundai Sante Fe, Sonata, Tiburon, or a Tucson. So still decent cars despite his little knowledge of them.

We think alike. I want a stick. I'm kinda bored with the SportShift and now I'm startn to use just auto again. It's not the same w/o the clutch, which is why I'm mad that my dad got rid of his '95 C4. And no you haven't let me down adam. Your information has helped me aplenty in deciding mods and enhancements to my TL. You guys are all really helpful. That's why I want to stay in the family...04+ TL, TSX, or 02-03 TL Type-S...RSX is a push, there isn't even a category on AZ.
