So since the spring started I've had this nagging rubbing/scratching sound from the left side of my car . I bent back the dust shield/backing plate on the front nothing changed. Looked on the rear and found the outer half my rotor was so rusted the pads didn't even touch properly.
Brakes hold properly but there's this nagging rubbing like rubbing two pieces on blank sheets together.. I've check the backing plate and did my best to brush away any loose rusted part that could be sraping the groove on the inside the rotor lip.. But Now I'm wondering if my caliper is sticking. I turn each wheel and their a slight drag with both but its free . the driver right not no free I can hear ir brushing the pads slightly still.. The pads and rotors are a week and a half new..
Does this looking like a sticking caliper symptom? The line in the left rear..

I can not tell much from your pictures.
Remember if it's hard to turn the rear brakes also have the parking brakes which are drum brakes on the inside of the rotor.
Did you do the brakes yourself? Did you check the slider pins on the calibers? Most often uneven wear or sticking caliber is from pins that are not letting the caliber slide correctly. When you do the brakes you should clean up the pins and re-lube them.

Here in the north east at least, those calipers are pretty well known for seizing up; at this point I'd throw some new discs and remanufactured calipers and pads on there and call it a day.

I am in the north east... my old rotors I never paid much attention to them at the time but there was one main part of it that seem like it was the only section the pads where touching. I changed the rotors and pads only a week now.. But my old pads has a grove in it. Like if you were holding the pad upright it had a lip/step down like the half closest to the hub was wearing down faster than the back end. And the issue is only on the driver side.

@cornet Yes i didmy brakes myself and all the slide pins the pad ears and the caliper slides were liberally lubricated ... Here are the pics of my old pads and rotors. Drivers side on the left passenger side on the right

@Iggy Nope.. Nose is still there but slight.. When I did brush the backing shield off and put the rotor back on it slightly scraped.. After I changed the pads the pitch of the scraped is not so pronounced but still audible.. I only hear it at 5-35 mph.. Anything over its gone. But there's a line on my driver's rotor from the pads or something but not on the passenger side. I'm frustrated.

Might want to check the offending pad to see if there is any debris in the liner causing the line on your rotor. You can lightly sand the liners with emery laid out on a flat surface while gliding the pad parallel with light pressure.

I recently replaced my brakes and rotors and had a low screeching sound of metal rubbing together. Ended up be one of my rear rotors scraping against the metal plate behind it. Looks like i may have hammered that plate by accident when I was pulling out the rotor. Found it by looking behind the rotor and in between that metal plate. I carefully used a screw driver to push it back into place and off the rotor.
So if you look behind your rotor and in between that metal plate, there should be a thin gap. Hope that helps. Had similar symptoms as you. Only can hear it at low speeds.
