RCA jacks on Bose HU

I was wondering if anyone knew if there are any available RCA jacks on the back of the Bose HU in a 03 TL-S. I have a Dell MP3 player and I am getting bad sound quality from the tape deck connection. I bought the wire to connect through RCA jacks, I was wondering if it could be hooked up to stock sterio.

What kind of MP3 player is it? If its a pocket dj you can get the Digital FM Transmitter. I have an ipod mini and use the FM Transmitter and it works great.

It is a Dell Digital Jukebox. I used the FM transmitter recommended by them which is Belkin and the sound was horrible. The tape deck connection sounds better, but there is a slight hissing sound in the back ground. I want to connect it using the RCA wires if possible.

I have the blitzsafe adapter on my and it works great. I used to have the FM transmitter but after a while I switched. It was a huge improvement. The Blitzsafe connector plugs directly to the stock HU and acts as an auxiliary input.

Can I install this myself, or does it have to be done by a pro.

You can do it yourself if you have the right tools. And you would need to feel comfortable taking the dash apart. It plugs into the changer port on the back of your in-dash deck. If you're taking it to a shop expect to pay atleast $80 bucks. But a good shop will warranty the install. And you don't have to worry about the tools of scratching your nice dash.

The only tool you'll need is a phillip screw driver and a socket set. It'll take you about 1 hour to do it.

One tip for ya - take the stock radio out so you can plug the adapter in. Some will say you can do it with just removing the passenger side knee panel. I tried doing that and the only thing I got was bruised and cut fingers (I have bulgy fingers). It only takes 10 minutes more to take the radio out.

What about the panel tool kit to pull the dash apart. Yup you don't need them

That's why our TL is going in tomorrow to have the dash replaced. The DEALERSHIP had the same in-experience. Now there are pry marks littering the dash. A very expensive mistake for them.

Want pictures?

the blitzsafe adapter is a unit that plugs into the back of the HU's cd changer port and has rca conectorrs on it. so all you need to do is conect rca's from the walkman/mp3 player ect... and play it thru them.

And since nobody makes a walkman/mp3 player with RCA outputs on them.... You will have to go to Radioshack or Bestbuy and pick up a 3.5mm to RCA adapter. Headphone jack on one side, RCA on the other. BAMM . You're done.

This may sound like an ametuer, but keep in mind I got this car yesterday and I am not usually one to work on my own car....but.......If you Install this in the CD changer port than what happens when I press the "CD" button.....does it play a CD or the MP3 player?

also does the 03 TL-s play MP3 format CD's?

(CD) button. Press it once. Plays the CD's in your player. Press it again. Plays the media that is plugged into your changer port. EX: Your MP3 player.

The factory Acura CD players have problem enough playing burned CD's. MP3's are totally out of the question.

the blitzsafe adapter connects to the stock hu in the changer slot and allow for connecting of stereo rca plugs. you could plug in whatever you want provided you end up with rca male connectors out of your device. (aka 'yes')

the lcd screen part doesnt really make sense.
