Hey guys, I have a 99tl-p and the radio is going to hell, i want to keep it stock cause im planning to buy a NEW tl-s sometime this year and will be giving this car to my sis, question is what other year model stock radios will fit plug and play? also can i used stock radio's that come from different acura models ie CL,RL, ect...?

 

any radio from the 99-03 tl will work. plug and play. and no

It's written for the Acura CL but the steps are exactly the same for the TL.

I installed an 02-03 TL radio in my 1999 TL and that was a great upgrade. The 02-03 radio has a built-in 6-disc CD changer and it will also play burned CD without a problem, unlike many of the 99-01 units.

If you want to really do your sister a favor, install an iPod/MP3 player adapter at the same time. I installed one of the Blitzsafe units at the same time in replaced the radio. These plug right into the back of the stock radios and they allow for excellent sound quality.
