does the '01 TL have the six disk changer and does it play the burned CD well? or at least better than the troublesome '99 Headunits...

No. The 2001 does not have the 6 disk CD changer in the dash...only a single CD player.
Also, the 2001 does not have memory seats nor fog lights like the 2002 TL.

 

I'm able to pick up a used radio from the 2001 TL. I will do it if it will fix the CDs not playing feature... I don't really care if it is a 6 disk or not....I was mainly asking this question to find out if the '01 TLs had the same problem not playing burned CDs like the '99's do

 

some 01s had issues also. i would try to look for a 03 if you can?

 

i hate my 99 stock deck! i can only listen to like 1/3 of my cds becuase of the this piece of shit. damnit , i still love this car though.

 

there was a 2001 for sale for 156.00CAD that's like 120US. I would have picked it up if they had fixed the problem in 2001 but it sounds like the six disk changer was the one that is able to play CDs
