questions for injen guys????

i just installed my intake and i have a few questions. i bought it used so whats the color of the filter suppose to be? mines kinda dark gray. another question is that my tube hits the sheetmetal under where the stock box sat. so when i go over bumpy roads i hear a rattle some times is this normal. i think im just gonna stick a piece of tubbing behind that just wondering if any one else has the same problem.

I had the same clanking issue as well. I took an old radiator hose, cut a 2" piece, then sliced that so you end up with a 4" by 4" square. Since it's used to being a hose it will naturally want to coil. I have that wrapped arounf the tube insulating it from the metal it's bumping against. It usually wears through maybe once every six months.

Hope this helps.

Mine doesn't rub at all, so I dunno...The rubber idea sounds pretty good to me.

I have the same Injen CAI on a '99. Can fix that by moving the CAI's braces a bit...this shoulnt happen 'cause in time your intake will crack open.

or you can getto-fix it by cutting some rubber something and putting it in this area
