Noooo don't do that.

But if you were to do it, be sure to wire a resistor in series with the LED bulb. A 470 ohm standard (.25W) resistor would do just fine.

Step 1: Buy them
Step 2: take them out to your car
Step 3: Look at them and say "WTF was i thinking"
Step 4: Promptly resell on eBay to some rice boi or throw them in the trash.
Step 5: never do that again, you drive a TL not a civic

I think that's only on the 02 models. 99-01 models have washers on the hood. I know my 99 TL Does.

I wouldn't personally do it to my car, but I did it to my girlfriend's car.

I hook them up to the parking lights. So they turn on when the lights are on. The TL uses the same bulb for the parking lights and turning signal. I'm not sure how would that work.

Tip. Connect the wires from the washer lights to the turning signal. They should light up when the headlights are on, but might blink when using the turning signal or blow up.

I'm looking at the bulb right now and inside there are 2 filaments. The base of the bulb has 2 positive ends so its technically 2 seperate circuits going through a single bulb.

If he wires it to the parking lights then it'll just stay on all the time....if he wires it to the turning lights then imagine if he has the hazards on. it'll totally look like you are impersinating an officer, and a blue light fine here in CA is $300.

You might also want to check out the LED's they sell for your wheels, put 'em on and when you drive, it produces such a wonderful spinning light show!

You guys are nucking futs. I have no clue how to put them on, but i'm just letting you know that cops are cracking down on all these extra lights that are not needed. Here in NY you can actually get in trouble for driving with 4 fog lights, unless you have a truck. If you get caught with those blue lights they will definitely write you up as inpersonation.

That's what I thought, but I was too lazy to go outside and check

People stop the flame already. If he asked for your opinion then flooded him with opinions otherwise shut up, let the guy do whatever he wants to HIS car. He pay 30k for this car so let him enjoyed anyway he wants. Plus I don't think does light are that rice in contrast to other things. Thanks

Another thing you can consider: instead of the washer lights coming on when your parking lights come on, how about being able to turn them on with a switch? That way, you have full control over when the lights come on or off (and more specifically you can avoid a potential ticket for illegal lights if you see the cops first). This way, when you want to show off your TL, you flip the lights on, but when you drive, you can turn them off.

I couldn't agree more. Although it may not be a mod that I'd consider on MY car, his original post was asking help on HOW to do it regardless of taste.

But yeah, it must be an older model TL since the newer ones hid them underneath the hood. But seriously though, take patrick's advice and add a switch. Another $20 worth of trouble to save you from a huge fine and potential time wasted (cuz you will be asked to remove them).

As for the 4 fog light issue...again I'm not sure with other states, but here in CA you are only allowed to have 4 sources of light output (facing forward) other than the parking/turn signals. Even if they were white they'd still be illegal.

Why?

#1 If you have foglights already, that would make it more than 4 sources of light output.

#2 even if you didnt have fogs, you can't put a light source higher than your factory specified headlights.

Now make them blue and BAM! Definite attention getter to an already illegal mod. So in essence, don't turn them on while driving.
