Question about light in the Glove box
Question about light in the Glove box
Last night I noticed that the light in my glove box was on, even though the glove box was closed. I could see light around the cracks of the glove box. I did some more checks in the dark garage to ensure I was seeing things. Is this an Acura Feature that I never noticed before, or do I have an electrical short somewhere?
Seems pointless to have the light on when it's closed. Isn't there a button that gets pressed when the door closes? (I didn't look) If so, you should be able to press it with the door open to check that the light goes off.
I'm not certain about our cars but I do remember some cars I had in the early 80's that had that light on all the time when the running lights were on. I think it was just a cost cutting measure to not put a switch in there.
Yeah I'm pretty sure all of these lights stay on all of the time. (The coin holder tray, and the glove box one).
There's a light in the center console that stays on all the time too. I noticed when I put something in the cup holders that sometimes you can see the green light coming through a hole between the center console and cupholders.
