Put my winter tires on today

I mounted my snow tires (Michelin Pilot Alpin 205 50 17) I know they are not the correct load rating but, my friend who owns the shop I bought it from said that he would cover any damage this may cause since he is soooo sure that it will be OK.

There was a fair sized snow fall last night but the roads dried up by this morning so I can't comment on their snow/ice performance yet, but the dry performance is surprisingly good (for a winter tire). You can definitely feel the lowered width though The car is not as stable through sharper turns or when braking as the stock tires, but they are surprisingly more quiet and comfortable than the stock tires ??

Anyway, I will keep you guys posted on how the "not recommended" tire size, and the acutal snow/ice performance goes... (sorry if none of this makes sense, I am having trouble thinking straight-damn flu....)

Just be careful since it is not a "recommended tire size". Damn you have snow already!

Man it's snowed here since the first of Sept. It's like a woman's emotions and thoughts here. It's always changing. Like today it's nice and warm, afternoon it's cold and windy. Snowy day turns sunny. Sunny day turns rainy....it's always changing.

I'll be hunting for a set of 16" with Michelin Alpins REALLY SOON as well! My bro-in-law aka power-fade, just put a set of Accord V6 with Alpins with 215/50/16 and they actually ride pretty good.

DAMN IT!! I just washed my car since my wheels were filthy after leaving the shop. I just found that the guy who mounted my tires scratched each and everyone of my wheels!! I know that they would have eventually got scrathched up since they are my winter wheels now but at least that way it would have been my own fault!

I will be calling him tomorrow (or today I guess)... I only have 1500kms on my car!!! F$#@ers!

Man, snow already? Fortunately, we don't get much down here. If there is a storm I use my old Legend.

It's supposed to be 82 degrees today.
