Problems with tail install
Hi guys, I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now because I just bought a '00 laguna TL-P. Its been great so far.
The problem I have now is that I just installed the matrix racing tail lights, and it went alright except my girlfriend wanted to be helpful and she dropped one of the tail light screwed into the trunk underneath the trunk liner. Any suggestions on how to get under it to get the screw out?
Also, after I finished putting everything together, the left tail light wont flash when the alarm system arms/disarms...but the brake lights work. Any idea whats going on? Thanks...

screws? You mean the 8mm nuts right? underneath the trunk liner? shouldn't you have pulled it back to get at the tails? Please give more details.
Your left tail won't flash when it arms and disarms........umm does it light up when you put your parking lights on. The 7443 bulbs are double filament and the filament for the parking lights is really thin and easy to break, So the brake light filament can still be attached and the brake light working but the parking lights won't work. If so you just need to buy new bulbs. If everything else work, its not a loose harness thats for sure. Make sure the bulbs are properly seated too.

I went and checked the bulbs in the left tail light, and you were right, the thinner filament was broken. Hopefully thats the problem.
Sorry, your right, it was the 8mm bolt. As for the missing bolt, it was on the right tail light. I had pulled the carpet back and she was trying to screw it in when she dropped one and it fell down into the space between the carpet and the metal body structure. Im not sure how to go about looking for it becuase I dont know how to get the carpet out of the way. Im afraid its going to end up rattling in the trunk. Thanks so much.

I had a similar issue when I installed my matrix tails. It is probably easiest to just go to your local hardware store and purchase an new nut instead of damaging your lining. Oh, and as for the light issue, the very same thing happened to me and I had to buy a new set for like four bucks or something becuase one of the lights blew or was damaged during the install. No big deal. Good luck!

burns,
don't worry about the screw. if you don't feel like going to the homedepot, you can always just go to the local body shop and ask them for one. they should have tons of different kinds of screws. As for the light bulb, just purchase a light bulb that has dual filaments as Bignard said at Meijer or something. Should cost you very little. If it doesn't blink, but lights up for brake, then it simply means that one of the filaments blew. don't worry too much about it. at least your HID light bulb didn't blow like mine =(. call me if you have any question. Laters, bro. Ex.
