Problem: Axles? Arm+Leg=WTF Help!

So I’ve had a Vibration/shaking as I accelerate in my 02 tls, and replaced my axles with some from pep boys, but after installing them. I still have a vibration while I accelerate.
These axles have a lifetime warranty.. BUT I’m not even sure if these are good axles to put in.. I Just got off the phone with the Stealership and the OEM axles are at a whopping
$879.00 EACH?!?!?!? WTF is that about? I even looked online for the cheapest price and $653 is the CHEAPEST… PER AXLE.. Now I KNOW all of us members here didn’t shell out that kind of money for axles… So what I’m trying to find out… is WHO makes decent axles or Better axles for our cars?

have you replaced your motor mounts, they can cause shaking as well while accelerating.

Try replacing one axle at a time since they have a warranty and see if it goes away. maybe one is bad.

I do believe i need a rear mount and the side mount isnt all that great... i'm going to replace those soon, but i still honestly believe its those axles i bought. Do you know where a good place is to get axles good as oem for NOT such oem price? I was going to buy the innovative mounts.. but after all that mess going on with them i opted out.

Many have had success with napa axles. I've used carquest and empi as well. The biggest caveat is to get NEW not remanufactured axles.

I like the Raxles idea, but there is no way to know even a ballpark figure on their product, does anyone have experience with these axles in our cars?

as said above, NAPA parts stores carry NEW not rebuilt axle assemblies, used to be 75$ each probably 100 now,,call for price at local store

bet your yepboys are rebuilt~

but you cant complain about axles,, while having known bad motor mounts!!!
all that combines to make things smooth~
If the engine is moving, the axles dont sit in their correct place = vibration
Fix the problems at hand first

1. Dial the toll free number listed on the webpage.
2. Talk to the owner Marty, for pricing/availability.
3. Tell him you want axles for a 2G TL. As long as you have the OEM axles to use as a core, you will not be charged the core amount.
4. He will send you two new axles that have the dampers. Then you put the old OEM axles in the boxes and use the mailing labels to ship them back.

I went this route because I did not want to have to deal with removing/reinstalling axles going forward due to the potential for vibrations and such that some of the foreign axles are known for. YMMV.
