Loose dash problem

My front dash is loose and slams when I hit road bumps etc.... it is much more noticable now... I've had my suspension lowered.

The area where the temperature sensor, so pretty much where the dash meets windshield is loose... I'm not sure how that part of the dash is held into place there.... are there bolts or screws hidden beneath the vents there? Is there a screw underneath the temperature sensor cover?

I can literally see that part of the dash move up and down when I hit hard bumps... and it makes a slamming noise... of the dash hittin probably the beam/frame underneath...

Any help would be appreciated guys... I would love to maybe get a screenshot of a Acura shop manual that shows how the front part of the dash is secured...

there are no bolts up there. There are just 3 pegs it rests on. The rest of the bolts are on the side and center console floor area. If its bouncing in the middle it would have had to have the dash crack or really shift to allow it.
(you can see 2 of them here. 1 in the center and one on the left

I had bought the car from an auction... no accidents were reported on the vehicle. I had not noticed the loose dash with the stock suspension (TL-P)... The dash doesnt have any visible cracks on it... hmmm so pretty much there is nothing that can be done.... besides do a complete tear down like your vehicle.... which I wouldnt know where to begin... LOL

ok forgive me for bringing up this OOOOOOOOOOld post but I have the exact issue and cant find anything else. So anyone else have this going on? I can see/hear the front center of the dash by the window vibrating some when driving over bumps. nothing very loud but you 100% can hear it with the radio off and it is annoying as heck.
is the dash "easy" to take off so I can take a look underneath? there are no visible signs that it is broke anywhere but maybe I can see more with it off.

Is it the dash that is moving or is it the defrost vent? I dont see how in any way the dash came off the peg unless the actual part of the dash it slides into is completely broken.

As for is it easy to remove, its tedious at best. There are A LOT of connections that need to be undone to do so, it will take a couple hours to remove and undo every thing to remove it.

yes the whole middle of the dash vibrates. im talking like 1/8th of an inch or so at the most, but it is annoying.
well if its that much of a pain I wont worry about it...I will live with it or shove something up against the window to push down on it. That is what I have done so far

I would check your motor mounts really, really well before doing any dash board diving.

For about a year, I had a slamming noise I thought was the dash board whenever I'd go over bumps hard. Turns out it was bad motor mounts.

Now, I will say I never SAW the dash moving, just the sound like it was the dash.

thanks for the response but this is not a motor mount issue. I have had them all replaced and I just got my transmission rebuit so all is smooth there. it is just when going over normal road bumps/vibrations

I have the same issue if I hit some pretty good bumps. I can stop the bang by stuffing micro fiber towels between the front of the dash and the windshield.
All my mounts are good, the windshield is sitting correct and adhered and the wiper transmission is firmly bolted.

right, basically where I am at. I think I will try to stick some rubber or somthing in between the window and dash to keep it pressed down - something that isnt too obivous I guess.

I have this exact same problem only I dont see my dash moving, but it definitely is banging over large bumps. I just bought 5/8inch foam cork saver at home depot and stuffed it between the dash and windshield with a long flathead screwdriver. Still got to go for a drive.
