I just got my piaa 1400s installed today. Im sorry guys but these look like sh*t!!. They look nothing like hid. Can I buy some type of bulb that will change the color of them to hid or close to hid? Anybody know of the bulb I can change it to?

You should have gotten the PIAA 1700x. They are really close to our HIDs. I used to have them but they burned out after 6 months. So now I have the new PIAA Solitaire Plasma Blue series.
BTW, if your PIAA is less then a year old then send them to PIAA and they should replace it for free. Go to their website and read under warranty.

I agree with BlackShadow. The 1700xs are pretty bright except I didn't like the blue lens that much cause my car is DEP. Mine burned out after 6 months too. Sucks. But if you just care about brightness and intensity, step it up to the 1700s.

Damn I bought the 1400s cause I thought they would look good cause everyone else had them. Do you guys think I can change the bulb? Do you know if they take an H3 OR H1 Bulb?

 

I did buy the platinum series. I dont understand why they look so sh*tty.... They look like a regular amber color..

 

did you get the `400x platinum series?
there are 3 different sets and each one of them have different colors.
I think the platinum series has plasma blue which i think matches HID the best

Get the 1700x with the 02TL switch. They look cool and match pretty close.

 

You must have gotten a bed set. I have the platinum series 1400's, and they are bright as hell at night. They have kind of a bluish green hue to them. I love them.
