Exclamation PHEES 99 TL6 swap thread/parts list/price list/question thread

alright guys.
the time has come.

ill be posting a parts list with what i paid in about 2 days. but first i have some questions

im using all the accord parts and i need to know if a 90-97 accord pedal assembly wil fit my vehicle.

i also need to know if the accord parking brake and cls-6 parts are interchangeable. Ie. will the equalizer from the accord work with the cls-6 parking brake.

thanks for looking

Pedals should bolt up.. most Honda/Acura pedals will work.

I don't know about the parking brakes being interchangeable, but the parts for them should be. Try and find out what the measurements on each of them are.

Good luck

You do if there isn't one already on the trans.. mine was but I ended up needing a new one anyway. It's a pretty cheap part.

Awesome...another one.

You can actually use alot of different clutch pedals. For the gas and brake, you can use CL6, Accord, or 3rd Gen TL.

Same for the shifter assembly. Good luck.

You don't need a different gas pedal

Any of the smaller (skinnier) brake pedals from a MT Honda/Acura car should work

The shift cables will have to match the trans, but a 6MT shifter assembly from Accord/CL/TL will be fine

notes
^ The only gotcha to that statement is the shift linkage, they moved one of the shift linkage bushing pins on one of the shift arms on the tranny for the 7th gen AV6, you eaither would have to use 7th gen shifting equipment or get a pin welded to the arm.

Phee, good luck my brotha! I will help you out when I can so I can try and learn more about all this. Eventually I want to drop in a 6spd into my 2nd Gen Type S.

When I saw Kris's thread on the swap and the car just gutted, I was like..man, I could never do that...now that my warranty is up soon and I see how happy folks are with their swaps, I'm like..hmmmmm

Your clutch assembly will include clutch and pressure plate. There might already be both in your trans, but I was told to replace anyway while you have everything apart.

EDIT: I just noticed that the link you provided shows you bought the Exedy clutch from eBay and not the OEM one. It says it comes with a throw out bearing but not a fork.
