Hey everyone. I came across this petition online for abolishing the law on NJ front plates.

That's the link. Try to spread the word on other forums...Maybe we can actually get this stupid law out so that we don't have to keep the front plates on our rides. Thanks everybody.

 

The plate is there so NJ officers can use laser speed readers. Officers crouch behind a bush on the side of the road, take a firearm stance, and point the laser at your plate. Laser is difficult to get a reliable reading (or any reading at all) without a flat metal surface in the front.

 

i dont think we can fight that...

 

I heard that... CA cops love to use that when excuse when they can't find any wrong doing.

 

i wish we need one of those here in wisconsin

 

Here in Kansas we don't have front plates. You only get one when you have customized plates.

 

oops, ment to say i wish we had one of those here in wi. not that it matters, illegal or not i have never had one on. id rather pay the fine than have it on

 

law or no law mine stays off..now thats fugly

 

Great Thread. I think we're pissing in the wind, but I signed it! We have such a FU State government, that to change anything here, near IMPOSSIBLE!

 

gotten stopped many times for front plate. one ticket and alot of excuses. then i decided to just stick it int he window. i have a cracked bracket in the trunk if the officer would like to see it.
