--sorry about that,

I did a search but could not find anything. Has anyone here replaced their outside door handles with black ones. I do not like the chrome look. If so, where can I them from? Should I just paint them??

any suggestions????

thanks

No one makes them. Painting them might be tough. You'd have to find someone that can prepare the chrome so it will take paint and not chip off. A good body shop should be able to do it.

Why would you want to do that?

Hard to say. You'd have to have someone remove the door handle assembley and then remove the chrome handle.

I would venture a guess somewhere in the $200 to $250 range.

Couldn't you buy the painted handle assembly from a '03 CL???

of course you'd have to figure out what to do with your driverside rear door handle. Maybe pull the assembly apart to use the handle only.

I thought the Cl's had black handles. That might work. I'll ask the dealer about it. In the meantime, if anyone knows of a cheap way of doing this.........

I just don't like the chrome. I like how some BMW's and Audi's have the door handles the same color as the car. to me, it looks a lot better.....smooth, not that our cars aren't

thanks

IMO, the chrome handles look waaaay better.
The new CL w/ body colored handles makes it look too much like a Civic/Accord. The chrome adds some class.

if you go to a automotive paint shop you should be able to get a etching primer designed for chrome. i bought some for my bumpers on my Z71 truck. it worked great. paint never chiped or pealed

I used to have an accord and thought it was great that my door handles matched the paint of the car... Then I got my TL and realized how much better the chrome door handles were. What the hell was I thinking?
I think you would be dissatisfied with the results but have fun.
Good luck
