Still waiting up on it? Hum... I'm leaving to Taiwan next week for vacation, I guess I'll just get it there then.

Just a thought, but would Tim be willing to purchase a couple of the guages. He could sell them on his website at a profit.

these are reverse indiglo guages, meaning that just the numbers will light up. they're like the ones we have now, except instead of lighting up pale green, they will be bright blue and red, and during the day they will be titanium/silver, whatever. they are only 80 bucks, but the catch is that we have to have 50 orders before we get any - and i mean PAY for 50 before we get them. i think 40 are paid for, so we're close, maybe. the good thing is that they only are gonna make 50, so if youdont get in, you dont get them. so, if we do get it, and you don't like it, but someone else does, you can sell it for a profit cause they'll be hella rare.

so will the needles be indiglo as well-like in the pictures? i understand the numbers will be indiglo, but from what i understand we will be using the needle arms already in the car. if that is the case-i was wondering how the needles would be indiglo. Also i need to know how, who, where to pay. Sorry to be a pain but like i said i got in on the tail end and am trying to get caught up.

Thankx Again

The needles will not be indiglo as I understand because these are just overlays. You slip them on top of the existing gauge. There is payment information on the first post in this thread.

You should have no problem seeing the needles. Our needles according to Nate, should match the indiglo overlays pretty nicely.

Oh, BTW. You're welcome. Now, mind helping us out here? We only got a few more (~20) to go.

um, doesn't the needle light up red anyways? that's how you see the needle in any car. it's not blue, but it still lights up.

also, won't be hard to read since the only real thing that changes is from pale green color to blue, and from black during the day to silver. it won't get brighter, or harder to read.

Hey guys-

I'm pretty new at all this, but this sounds like a great buy. Anyways, I just got a 2002 TL. Will these gauges fit just like on the 99-01's? If so, I'll get one for sure and might buy two. [I suppose they would make a great birthday or car-christening present for a TL owner. I just wish someone would have got me stuff when I got my car :-)]. Anyways, if someone could answer a few of my questions, I'll order real soon. Some have been addressed, but there are several variations on answers so I'd like to know.

1. How hard will this be to install? I'm REALLY new at modding cars and such so I'm kinda weary about opening up the dash of my car.

2. How is the indglo powered/operated? Will it light up automatically when we turn on our lights? Will it flash when we unlock the security system?

3. If it turns out that my tastes change on dash color, can I remove it without any noticable change afterwards?

4. How long do indiglos last? My little ricer-boy brother says his died after 2 yrs. (Another reason to get 2, 3, or even more :-P)

5. How many are we at with my 2? I'm going back to school in Austin soon and would like to give the addy where I'll be at the time.

Sorry for the very long post. Thanks for all your input.

No, it's only gonna fit the 2000 through 2002. I think someone started a thread for the 1st gens (Pre-99), but since there aren't that many for the 2000 through 2002 that have signed up I'm betting it's going to be a long time for the 2000-2002's to get to 50 and a lot longer for the Pre-99's..... IMHO....

Longhorn TL, I'm not sure if they will match the 2002 TL-P gauges exactly. I will find out. Even if there are slight cosmetic differences, I'm 99.9% sure they will fit on the TL-P.

I know the 2002 TL-S gauges are different (but only because of the VSA light and redline) however I'm 99.9% sure they will fit on the TL-S.

Stop worrying about the count. We are still in the 30s. I will let everyone know when we reach 40 and again when gauges start being shipped out.

I had thought we might be able to buy out the rest of the gauges. However that didn't work out - HID Vision didn't want to give the buyer (it wasn't me, I don't have the money) enough of a discount.

Another plan is to buy more than one gauge. I plan on doing this ASAP. I would encourage the rest of you to do the same! Drop another $80 on the gauges. You'll get 2 sets. Install one and put the other one up for sale - you can even mark up the price so you get your gauges for cheaper than $80!

Lets do this!

Hey, I have a CL-S. Will it fit on my car? Also, does it have the necessary lights for the instrument (i.e. VSA, Sportshift light, etc.)

Ill they fit the 2002 Type S exactly. They look great, but I would like them to match exactly or they will look ghetto. Can't have that on my new car.

Thanks

Question

Hey guys, I want to get in on this one but I have a few questions.

I'm not prevy to modifying cars so I'll have to get them installed. How much approximately would the installation cost.

What is the readline displayed on the new gauges, I know my TLS are at 6900. Can we all get them at that level.

Is the VSA light the same size on the older models. I just want them to fit just right.

Thanks

I get paid this week and am going to order one. I would say to those of you who are uncertain, go ahead and get one and if you don't like it (which i seriously doubt) you can always sell it. the forum would be a great place to sell it cause once they are in and people post pics, everyone is going to start wanting them. you can make a profit. I just might order two. Lets do it guys, don't let us e outdone by the Legends Guys. Get those orders in.

Hey Nate whats the count?
