just a question, do they replace the old tranny fuild when they work on installing the jet. an do they have to pull motor?
ChairmanMaoSaysRTFM
i believe they do replace the fluid when they put in the jet, but i had my tranny replaced entirely and they put the jet in at that time so i'm not entirely sure. and i know they don't pull the motor when they do it. i believe the remove the valvebody from the bottom of the transmission and access it that way.
someone else may know more about how they put it in though. anyone?

The answer is no, they don't change the transmission fluid. The oil jet is somehow installed on the top of the transmission case, so there's no need to drain the transmission. There is also no need to pull the motor or the trans. out of the car- it took the dealer about 1 hour to install mine.

they dont replace teh fluid when installing it. its a very easy install it just goes into the trans fluid fill hole. nothing has to be pulled to install

To me, its just a few screw and hardware... I wouldn't really call it "THE KIT"... Just trying to make it sould more... Complete.
For the first couple weeks after the install of the kit, the juggling problem seemed to persist, but now it's much smoother, the weird shifting and juggling are gone.

it is a kit. there is more than just the jet. there is new rubber tubing and a new pipe with a "T" in it for the oil jet. there for it should be called a oil jet "Kit' Originally Posted by Inspire

look just to the right of the intake pipe (the piece going from the airbox to the throttle body)
as for if its necessary i would recomend it. it protects against the major failure (even thought its very rare, youdont want it) and yes its free

i suddenly feel concerned....i had a new tranny installed last year and when i put the tranny cooler in last week, it doesn't seem to me like the jet kit is installed at all.....curious.....let me go out and see before i get nervous.....all i know is my drain plug was alone and there was no black bar underneath it. i'm curious to see if my memory serves me right.
