not really a "what would win" question...

not in the near near future... but before the end of the year. ill be looking for a 2nd car. a must is a 6spd. i want to stick with acura, so a g35/350, and such is out of the question.

does anyone know what car is supposed to be quicker? either a cl-s or a 3rd gen tl(non-s).

The CL-S will respond better to modifications, but stock for stock the TL 6MT is the better buy IMO. Both are fun, but the TL offers more. The CL will be cheaper, but possibley harder to find.

yea, ive already looked on cars.com and craigslist, no 6spd cl's at all. and i would definetly do the i/h/e. probably just swap them over from my tl... then the wife could drive a quiet stock tl. i big plus to getting a cl. if i get a new tl i would have to buy all new parts to mod with.

There is one on ebay. It's black. Personally if it's for you and it's a toy, get an S2K. If you find the CL-S then swap over the parts like you mentioned.

3rd gen TL is faster out of the box but you can make the CLS faster with just headers

hahah, yea thanks for the advice. i would LOVE to do that. but at least for now, not in the budget. alot i have to consider as well is the cost. even a used 3g type-s is still pretty expensive. i can get a base 3g(2004) for maybe 10-12k... and a cl-s, if found, probably less. a used 3g-s, still running $25-30k.

i have time to sit on it still obviously, just wondering what my options would be.

what would put down more, 3g tl with i/h/e, or a cl-s with the same?

by chance, anyone know which of the two has shorter gearing? power's not everything ya know.

id get a 3rd gen non s 6speed.
a lot more potential no matter which route you want to take then the neglected cl.

or an s2k. personally, i think youd be downgrading if you got a cl-s6.
