Just bought a 1999 TL. Spent 17 hours detailing the inside and out, it was digusting. Have to do front sway bar bushings and links. Also front and rear brakes. Any help or suggestions would be apreciated
watch out for stop signs!
you gotta come to a complete STOP.
Seriously, tho.
it sounds like you know what you are doing.
plus, you could read up on previous threads to figure out what or does not need attention right away.
Might want to keep an eye on your transmission.

Hey Jhinton, congrats on the '99 TL ! Good luck in breathing some new life into the car.
Give us a few more details about the car such as mileage, overall mechanical condition, along with any previous maintenance that was performed. (ie: T-belt)
It appears as though the car might've been neglected by the way you described it as "disgusting"......hopefully, the previous owner kept up with the basic PM stuff.
Chances are that you are just going to have to start from the ground up and make a wish list of thing to check or improve upon. Try our "DIY" section for help prioritizing the main common issues that 'Ziner's have experienced with their 2nd Gen TL's.

Thanks TLc I will look at that. the car has 223000 kms, rear drivers side door has been hit. There is no leaks to be seen and drives really well so I am happy to have this car. I don't have any previous maintenace knowledge on this TL. I am just going to enjoy fixing it up.
