Post No TCS off button with TL-S

I test drove the new blue one (it's an awesome color in person -- the pics here don't do much justice)

I noticed that there is no way to turn TCS off (as on the current TLs)

Also, my dealer says that if you want nav it will be another month before you can get the TL-S with nav, is this really true?

I know you can turn off the VSA (switch on left side of dashboard near sunroof switches), but I don't know about Traction.

Also, I've already test-driven two with Nav. It's available now.

there is a button in the same place as TL(tsc) to turn of VSA and that also disables the traction control, its part of the same system... i actually made sure that VSA worked and turned it off a couple of times during the test drive... it works

and yes, the NAV vesion is already in, the dealership i was at had two nav, two non-nav tl-s's in stock

No way. Nav's are in. I guess your dealer wants you to help clean up what he has in stock first.

He probably wants to dump the non-Navs that he already has in stock....

TCS I guess is for lower vehicle speed, but VSA is for both high speed and low speed too...

According to the 02 manual, there's no TCS on the TL-S. That'd make sense why no button would exist to turn it off. TCS is, however, on the base model TL.

The Acura website says that TCS is on the TLs; moreover, the CL-S has TCS!
--Why does Acura keep shafting the TL owners?

The CL had many of the 'new' TL-S features a year ago!

Is this really the case -- the TL Type-S has no TCS?

Read the above posts. The TL has VSA which encorporates the TCS and adds more stability during turns to prevent loss of control. It can be turned off. This is the same thing that the CL-S has. And trust me it works. Whle driving the TL-S I floored it from a light and the wheelspin was brought in check by the VSA, and a flashing exclamation point light lights up in the dash to let you know you dont have 100% traction

I'VE BEEN DRIVING IN SNOW!!!

It works -- it all works.. BEAUTIFULLY.

Trust me -- whatever you want to make of the mumbo jumbo in the brochures, the websites... trust me, after having driving in about two inches of snow and slush, the VSC and it's INCORPORATED traction system works well!

Furthermore, now that it's near 50 degrees and I've been driving the car on dry roads -- I also know that the VSC does wonder to bring the slipping wheels **during hard accelerations** in check without.. WITHOUT compromising speed! However, better tires like Potenza RE930's would TRULY BENEFIT THIS CAR'S PERFORMANCE -- straightline performance as well as cornering!

It's all good fellas.. it's all golden.
