No Brakes!!!!!!!!!!! Please Help
Hi,
I installed new front pads on my 02 TL-S All I did was remove the two caliper bolts and swap the pads. I didnt open the system and yet I now have NO PEDAL at all when the car is started. I took everything back apart and re-installed. SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!!! I have done thousands of pad swaps and never dealt with this before. Please help this is my only car and I dont know how I will get to work without it.

When you took the caliper off, you could've damaged the brake line or the banjo bolt. Check the area to make sure there isn't any brake fluid leaking.
Did you check the fluid reservoir cap, by the way?

They have firmed up a bit, and thank you forr all of your sugg. I inspected the lines-no tears-did a bleed-no air. I get my slotted rotors tomorrow so I will tear it all back a part. I think that part of the promlem was the pads. Dont know why but once I was able to get aenough pressure I took it on a run and punished the brakes pretty good to let them get up to temp. Not sure why but this seemed to help. The pedal still goes about 3/4 of the way down but not all the way anymore. I think tomorrow I will replace the resivoir cap. I got to thinking about it and realised I left it tight while pushing the pistons back in. Perhaps this caused a bit of damage. Its wierd.... I was a mechanic in college and did more brake jobs than I care to remember. I know that ABS system can be touchy but this seems a bit ridiculous. once again thanks for all of you input and welcome whatever sugg. you might have.

Yeah, I had to pump mine a few times also, because the pistons are retracted, since I had to push them back to install the new pads. The pumping action slowly pushed the pistons back out, bit by bit. It takes longer because of the large distance the pistons have to travel ... but then you should be fine.
If they are not be sure to get it fixed ... unless you wanna pull a Fred Flintstone!!!
