New tint

After Six years my tint has started peeling. Droped it off at the tint shop and they are doing 16% now. I wonder how dark that will be?

How dark? I'd say about 16%

JK It will be pretty damn dark. I had 20% for a while and it was DARK. If you have the grey or ebony interior, you're gonna draw extra attention from the cops, makes it WAY WAY darker. Good luck, hope it turns out well

I have 20% sides & back and it's fairly dark -- especially on a non-lit street or out in the countryside. I have a parchment (tan) interior so it's not too bad. If cops roll, I open up the moonroof so it will appear not too dark a tint (they've been cracking down in my province lately). If it's really dimly lit street, downtown and the cops roll up beside me, I roll down my driver's side window ...

You're in Tampa ... and it gets HOT down there -- I think 16% won't be too bad.

eh......It will look WAY better if the front and rear sides are the same. Otherwise you're gonna have some kinda wierd transission from Front to Rears to Back. Wont look good at all IMO. Personally I'd call them back and tlel them to do 16% all around.

Wont get the TL back until Sunday. I went to school in tampa and graduated and found a job here with Scottrade. I dropped off the car with my brother in Ocala and he is taking care of dropping the car off at the tint shop. So I have had his TSX this week.

But I am lookin at the TSX out the window and his tint looks like its 20 somthing in the front and 20 in the back. I am glad I am getting the same color all the way around.

I had 20% in my old car, and when i was backing out of my driveway at night i would have to roll down the window and stick my head out just to make sure nothing was behind me.

I've got 20% all around. I have no complaints other than when I parallel park, gotta get used to using that auto-tilt passenger side mirror instead of rolling down the window...

heat wont affect quality tint, ask for metal based tint, it will last much much longer then the cheaper standard tint it wont bubble up and turn purple from the sun. you dont want dye based tint, trust me, you will be doing yourself a big favor by staying away from it, good tint is about $150-$180 ll around
