Neon Footwell Install PROBLEM
Hello i recently installed some footwell neons into my acura... heres the tutorial
so everything went fine until my friend disconnected some part of it, the fuse blew out and we replaced it. the lights turn on and everything. but one thing... when u close the door when the dome light is set to "door" it stays on. If the neons are connected they stay on too. i already have a thread in another forum it might answer some of the stuff i left out here

if this light is staying on then it sounds like some switch is shorted somewhere. which fuse did you have it set to? did you blow any others somehow? where do you have wires grounded to? where is the power tapped in? maybe this will shed light on it.

check the other site,
Did you cut the wires or just tap them? is it possible that u have then switched? the vanity lights dont work either? check the manual for the listing of all the fuses.

I talked to a Honda friend about this too and I told him my problem.
Apparently there is a special ground wire (blue, light blue, blue stripped? i forgot what he said). If you ground it to this wire instead of like a screw or something, it'll fade in and out...
I have yet to try it (no time) but this guy is increda-credible.
G'luck.

The reason that it fades if because this "special wire" goes from ground to 12 volts allowing it to fade. 12volts across the two terminals will produce no effect because of no voltage drop. i assume that they all tapped the right wires.

As per the tutorial....
Wire tap the negative wire on the neon light with the black wire w/ white line on the harness (look close and make sure it's the black wire with the white line, not just the regular black wire)
Use the wire taps to connect the positive wire of the neon light to the white wire w/ blue line on the harness.
